It doesn’t get better than this: a sex-linked production, dark brown layer! What more could you ask for? A cross between a Black Copper Marans and a Barred Rock, the Noir Marans is a very good layer of rich, dark brown eggs ranging from copper to chocolate in color. These hens are largely black with varying amounts of bronze. This breed produces a combination of both clean and feather legged chicks.
