Meet Dottie, our beloved Barnevelder, and her offspring.  Dottie was the best chicken we’ve had! She was easygoing, broody, and a wonderful mother.  One day a Northern Harrier hawk swooped down and grabbed one of her chicks.  Dottie went airborne, attacked the hawk and got her baby back. She was such a great addition to our little farm.
