We had a brown leghorn several years ago named Petey. Her large single comb flopped over to the side, giving her a real sassy appearance. She was one of our favorite birds because she ran everywhere she went, which made her very different from the rest of our flock. Petey was on the go all of the time and added a lot of entertainment value to our flock. Entertainment isn’t all Brown Leghorns offer, though; they are very hardy, mature early, and are prolific white egg layers. And they’re not too shabby to look at, either! Brown Leghorns are a fun, beautiful, and useful addition to any flock.
